Identity

Regnum Christi is made up of witnesses of the Gospel who feel called to be His apostles: to remain with Him and to collaborate so that others can also encounter Him personally and experience His life-changing love that brings the joy of knowing oneself loved and called to transform the world.
Regnum Christi is a spiritual family within the Church composed of the Legionaries of Christ, Consecrated Women, Consecrated Men, and lay members. Its members come from many different countries, cultures, and life situations, but they are all united by the experience of having encountered the living Christ and His love.
Regnum Christi is a reality within the Catholic Church, a spiritual family, and an apostolic body. Its mission is to make the Kingdom of Christ present, that is: to make Christ present so that He reigns in one's own heart, in the hearts of others, and in society.

Spirituality

The spirituality of Regnum Christi is centred on the contemplation and following of Christ who announces and realizes the Kingdom of God in the Gospel. Christ calls men and women today to share in His mission and sends them to evangelize the world and contemporary society.

Christocentrism is the most significant feature of the spirituality of Regnum Christi. Its members encounter and love Christ in the Gospel, in the Eucharist, in the Cross, and in their neighbours. Christ is the centre, the criterion, and the model of personal and apostolic life.

Convenzione Territoriale Regnum Christi

The contemplative and evangelizing spirit constitutes the lifestyle of the members of Regnum Christi. Contemplation of Christ allows one to discover His presence and His love in one's own heart, recognizing the primacy of God's action in one's life. Evangelization enables one to discover Christ in the world and society, in the service of others and in apostolic work. The member of Regnum Christi is a disciple of Christ, remains with Him, and is committed to transmitting Him to others.

The spirit of communion is a fundamental part of the charism of Regnum Christi. It involves cultivating unity by valuing dialogue and mutual listening, as well as service, collaboration, and teamwork. Communion is built on mature fraternal relationships that allow for recognizing the presence of God in others. Communion manifests itself in spirituality, fraternity, formation, and apostolic action.

The spirituality of Regnum Christi is expressed in five loves that guide the knowledge, affections, and dedication of its members:

  • Love for Christ

  • Love for the Virgin Mary

  • Love for one's neighbour

  • Love for the Church and the Pope

  • Love for Regnum Christi as a path to live one's vocation.

The motto 'Christ, our King, may Your Kingdom come!' summarizes the spirituality of Regnum Christi. This expression conveys the ardent desire to make the Kingdom of Christ, who is the Kingdom in person, present in the world and society. The proclamation, witness, and growth of the Kingdom of Christ are the ideal that inspires and guides the life and apostolate of Regnum Christi.

Regnum Christi

The mission of Regnum Christi is to make Christ present, who reaches out to every person, reveals to them the love of His Heart, and forms them as apostles, to send and accompany them so that they too may collaborate in the establishment of His Kingdom.

Members of Regnum Christi make themselves available to the action of the Holy Spirit to help them discern the signs of the times and to initiate, with a missionary spirit, apostolic initiatives and works oriented toward:

  • The proclamation of the faith and the spread of Catholic doctrine

  • The formation of young people and adolescents

  • The support of marriage and family

  • The Education

  • The evangelization of professional and cultural sphere

  • The support of social justice

  • The practice of works of mercy.

Members of Regnum Christi live their Christian life in service to the local Church: they are involved in and collaborate with diocesan and parish structures of the local Church.
